Some outfits in October~ <3

Dear all

How are everyone doing? :)

I have gather pictures of several outfits I wore in formal and casual meet ups that I went.









Old School Lolita

Went to an old fashion style afternoon tea with a dear friend.
We decided to wear old school lolita style since it suits the tea room we are visiting quite well, and also to savor on the memories when we first met in a lolita meet up 8 years ago....



The wig I am using is the hair style I used to have back in 2003.
I have changed my hair style since I start to dress up in hime style.

That was a nostalgic meet up.



Headdress: hand made by me
Jsk: Infanta Cinderella embroidery
Blouse: offbrand
Shoes: Vivienne Westwood Rocking Horse ballerina from the late 90's (purchased in 2003)
Bag: Jane Marple violin bag from the 90's (also purchased in 2003)

I incorporate items from my old lolita days. I just want this meet up to be like the ones we had as much as possible.
Those shoes. I am sure the original is the painfullest rocking horse ever.
So I don't see the need for owning the original if one plan to wear it often.
They are better for collections rather than practical use :(

The Holy Orthodox Church

I did a photo shoot around a Orthodox Church. I really want to have some pictures inside.
However, I only have the permission to take pictures outside only



There is an iconography of the Archangel ~St. Michael at the entrance of the church!
I love religious iconography~~!



Headress: 2 ribbons, necklace, White velvet ribbon OP : Moi meme Moitie
Shoes: Jimmy Choo


Formal Tea Party

This is an outfit I wear to our monthly formal tea party~

Since it is October, I decide to wear something "creepy"



Headress: Jesus diamante ribbon with off brand corsage with purple and peacock feather
Bolero and choker: Moi meme Moitie
Jsk: Juliette et Justine (Feerie)
Shoes: Jesus Diamante crystal ribbon heels

The print reminds me of the movie "Don't be afraid of the Dark" at the first glance.
I am so attracted the creepiness of it so I decide to get the blue instead of the brown one.
And interestingly enough, my friend did found an ugly scary looking dwarf on the print! LOL

I wore it with a sheer bolero. Since it is about fairies, so I figured the coordinate should be soft and airy~


Off Brand Challenge

There was one day I want to wear my "Twilight" socks I found in blockbuster (movie rental store)
And I really feel like wearing my beloved off brand dress!



Everything off brand except shoes form Jesus Diamante (they are my defaults....)
and Twilight socks ( If you are a Twilight fan!). you can get a set from here:

Dress: off brand from taobao, around $25 CND.
(there are special discounts on some taobao shops. Not all the stores do it, and store decides the discount rate. I was on a random search for "gothic lolita" and found this dress on discount!!!)

If you are interested, When you search in taobao, type in "gothic lolita 秒杀"
(秒杀 literally means "second(s) kill" in Chinese)
There will be a list of results with original price. Those are the goods that are in that discount program.
And if you see something with its original price slashed and a cheaper price shows up, that is the one on discount at the moment.
But you have to be fast in making the order because those usually only last for couple of hours

Oh my, the Tea Party outfit is boo-tiful. The print is gorgeous. Since it's so unique, is it hard to make coords with that print?

I don't find it hard to coordinate. Probably because most of my wardrobe, Lolita or not, are in dark color. And I think it is so because since the print itself is a bit busy, one would best to coordinate it with items that are simple in design. It works with many off brand items like h&m too :D

Tamie, you gorgeous you! I love the first outfit so much and that hair style suits you so well! I think it makes you look cute and younger whereas your current hair makes you look sophisticated and elegant.

I love the second outfit's elegance. I didn't like the dress much in the past but I keep seeing people wear it and it makes me like it more and more!

The Feerie dress in blue looks so lovely :O I wish I got it in that colourway now haha. Those JD heels go perfectly with the outfit.

And the last outfit makes me want to try an offbrand outfit too! It's going to be a bit hard though (>_<;)

and whether it's your current hair or the previous one, I think you look great in all of them! ^^ (if only I had the guts to try out hime one of these days... and a pretty dress to go with it..)

I love them all but gosh that white moitie op is so beautiful, i wish i didn't own the black version now... in fact i haven't worn it in so long...
The j+j is my favorite. It must be because i am loving those art prints and that one is my favorite of the bunch. Unfortunately i will never be able to wear them because they are tiny for me but i really really adore them, they're 100% my style of print. I can live my dreams through people like you though. Thank you for sharing these.

Can I blog these on my tumbrl? Or do you have one where you'll upload these so i can reblog them?

I haven't wear mine for so long too! You know what, I actually find the black one more practical. I am a bit messy, and I love everything cooked with tomato sauce......and here comes the problem with wearing white >_<

You are too nice to say that. I wonder if JetJ will have larger sizes than their size 2 in the future. Or, do you know sewing or a nice seamstress? I see there are people printing those prints with spoonflower and make their own dresses. Maybe that could work too? Don't let your size hinders your search for beautiful things!

Your first and second outfits are my favorite because of the oldschool feeling I guess. I'm not a fan of wigs either but the first two are simple enough for me so it's all good. I like your taste in fashion anyway <3

The old school outfit really brings it back! You look just like a street snap from the early 2000s. I also like the way you add hime-esque flair to your outfits :)
